May 18, 2012 as a result of correspondence between H.E. Yaroslav Mar, Captain Regent of the Republic of Lostisland, and H.E. Michel Vichat, General person in charge for the Republic of Padrhom, a Treaty of Mutual Recognition has been signed and diplomatic relations between the two nations established. The Government of Lostisland hopes for the eternal friendship between the two countries, and wishes all the best and long life to the glorious nation of Padrhom.

April 17, 2012 as a result of correspondence between H.E. Yaroslav Mar, Captain Regent of the Republic of Lostisland, and H.R.H. Lucas Mello, Grand Duke of Koss, was signed a Treaty of Mutual Recognition and Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Lostisland and the Grand Duchy of Koss. According to the treaty, both parties recognize each other as sovereign and independent nation-states and their respective executive, judicial and legislative branches as exercising control as legitimate authorities over each respective nation's claimed territory. The Government of Lostisland hopes for the eternal friendship between the two countries, and wishes all the best and long life to the glorious nation of Koss.

LNC scores a crushing victory: communists defeated

May 11, 2012 Government of Lostisland presented the results for the General Elections 2012: according them, the Lostislandic National Congress won with 83% of votes, while the Communist Party of Lostisland suffered a shattering defeat with only 17% of votes gained. As a result, 2 out of 3 seats in the Parliament of Lostisland would be occupied by the LNC.
However, the names of the deputies are expected to be quite unexpected: several hours before the end of elections Secretary-General of the CPL left the party and joined the Lostislandic National Congress, and is now thought to become a deputy to the Parliament from the LNC. Matthew Burklandssen, the only remaining candidate from the CPL, would occupy the single seat CPL gained.

Post of Lostisland presents first postal stamps

May 8, 2012 the newly-established Post of Lostisland (national postal provider of the Republic) presented first official postal stamps, divided in three series. First one (on photo left), the basic stamp denominated in 1 real represemts the Coat of Arms of Lostisland. Second and third series (see below) commemorate the anniversaries of great composers - Claude Debussy (1862 - 2012) and Alexander Scriabin (1872 - 2012), and are denominated in 2 reais.
The postal stamps of the Republic shall be sticked to all the outcome correspondence of Lostisland, as well as on official documents (as a prove of authenticity). In a close future an online shop would be opened with the stamps of Post of Lostisland in it, available for buying.

Establishment of the Post of Lostisland

May 7, 2012 the Captains Regent signed a Decree DEC CAR 13|07|05|12, establishing the Post of Lostisland - national postal provider of Lostisland, which is thought to start providing full-scaled postal services in the close future. Within several days, Post of Lostisland would present its postal stamps, available for buying through Internet.
The Government would keep the society informed about the activities of the Post of Lostisland.

Lostisland on Silence Day: Call for Observers

The Republic of Lostisland is entering to the final pre-electional stage: Silence Day. At May 7, 2012 no agitation would be allowed, in order to make the electorate being able to decide in silence whom to vote. A day after, May 8, 2012 two main parties of the nation would meet in a decisive battle for the votes of Lostislandians.
The Official website of the Elections launched a call for observers today, and now anybody is able to register as an Observer for the General Elections 2012. Individuals, organizations, even nations now can decide which party they want to support or remain neutral, just observing the procedure.
The Government asks the citizens to act responsibly during the elections: the day of national will shall be respected by everybody, and whatever provocations during the General Elections would be prosecuted to the fullest...

Happy Birthday to Zygmunt Knushevitzky!

Sometimes even we, Lostislandians, need to relax from daily routine and constant work for the prosperity of our nation. That's why we celebrate holidays like the Birthday of Zygmunt Knushevitzky.
A cat residing with the Captain Regent Yaroslav Mar, Zygmunt was found in late 2004 somewhere in the forests of Moscow Region. A medical expertise which supposed the birthday of Zygmunt to be in May, lead to the future appointment of the birthday on May 6. Today Zygmunt is celebrating his eighth birthday.
Never being officially declared as a Lostislandian, Zygmunt is one of the true symbols of the Lostislandic nation, whose birthday is a national holiday of Lostisland. A small kitten, who was ready to die during the rough Russian winter, turned into a symbol of the whole nation, which makes Zygmunt's history of success being one of the most impressive ever.

General Elections postponed for a week

May 1st, 2012, at the expected date of the General Elections, Captains Regent published a Decree DEC CAR 12|01|05|12, postponing the Elections for a week. As the Decree says, the delay was caused by the lack of foreign observers, registered at the General Elections. Within the next week, both running parties are thought to start recruiting observers, which would carefully overlook the process of polling. As the Captains Regent are saying, "Upcoming General Elections shall turn into the most democratic ever event in the modern history of Lostisland".

Ministry of Transport established

April 30th, 2012 the Captains Regent signed a Decree DEC CAR 11|30|04|12, establishing the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Lostisland - third ministry of the nation, specialised on transportation to/from the territory of Lostisland. Martin Legof was appointed as the Minister.
While the Republic of Lostisland still cannot exercise sovereignty over its land, everything can change since an expedition to Hunter Island is planned by the Ministry of Transport. With the successful scenario, the Lostislandic sovereignty may get seriously enforced even in this year.

Reunion of Lostislandians takes place in Moscow

April 22, 2012 a lovely restaurant at the very centre of Moscow hosted quite an unusual event: a Reunion of citizens of the Republic of Lostisland took place during the celebration of the Birthday of the Captain Regent Yaroslav Mar. The Reunion has been attended by both Captains Regent, Honorable Melany Mikheeva (CEO of the Melany Movies), Anastasia Fomina and many other guests. The undoubtful highlight of the program was the presentation of new songs by Melany Mikheeva (supported by the Government of Lostisland and Melany Movies - see poster below).
