March 21st 2012 were completed the procedures of signing the treaty between the Republic of Lostisland and the Sovereign Military Roman Hadrian Order (S.M.O.R.A.). According to the treaty, the Parties recognize independence and sovereignty of each other, recognize territorial claims, open diplomatic relations and open physical or virtual Embassies. The Parties agree to cooperate as much as possible as independent and sovereign states on the cultural, social and other fields.
The treaty, which was signed even at February 24th, for technical reasons was not forwarded until March. The Republic apoligizes for the inconvenience, occured by such a severe delay.

March 18th, 2012 in Honkong on the sixty-fourth year of life passed away His Majesty George Tupou V, King of Tonga. The King was transferred to hospital several hours before death in a critical condition, transmits the Television of Tonga. George Tupou V ascended the Throne in 2006, but was officially crowned only in 2008. The successor to the Throne is crown prince 'Aho'eutu 'Unuaki'otonga Tuku'aho.
The Captains Regent express their most sincere condolences to the relatives of His Majesty, Government of Tonga and all its nation.

March 13th, 2012 the Republic of Lostisland was officially accepted as a Member Nation of the League of Countries - a new IGO, established by the Commonwealth of Novaltia, and one of the first countries to join it were the Holy Empire of Reunion and the Nation of Amandium. According to the Charter, the League is established for the purposes of fellowship and dialogue amongst the various countries of the world collectively and individually, regardless of population, location, ideology, government, culture, power, or wealth, and for the promotion of their rights and welfare as sovereign entities, as well as for wider peace, understanding, and goodwill for all.

March 9th, 2012 the Captains Regent finally signed the Decree DEC CAR 04|09|03|12, appointing the date of the General Elections 2012 - May 1st. During the next 1,5 month the candidates all over the nation will meet in a fierce struggle for the votes of the citizens, who will have to make their choices and support the favourite candidates. The campaign already seems to be very intensive for everybody:

8 March 2012 was finally presented the renewed website of the Republic of Lostisland. Developed by famous design CucikStudiO (Russia), it no has all required functionality for a nation's website. The most important of the changes are

• Interactive menu - the navigation problem, which was the Achilles' heel of the old website, is now fully resolved. New, simple and logical system organizes the pages of the governmental website;
• Unification - while the majority of pages of the governmental website were differing by font, formatting and other measures, now the pages comply to a signle standart, which applies for all of them;
• Socializing - a Facebook plug-in with the official FB-page of the Republic is now inserted in all the pages.
• No More Ads - the Government decided to get rid of the ads, which are closing half of he website. Within a week, all banners and ads on the governmental website ... Read more »

www.republicoflostisland.com, the Official Website of the Republic of Lostisland will be closed for renovation at 1st March 2012. This affects all pages and features of the website, including PM's and the Forum. During the renovation, all E-mail adresses @republicoflostisland.com will be working.
