What is Lostisland? The answer can be only one - an independent nation. Some people think, that building a new country in the XXI Century is impossible, but we have the examples of reverse - e.g. the Republic of South Sudan, which officially declared independence in 2011, is now a member of the U.N. and is recognized by more then 100 states worldwide!

We can also think about Kosovo, Abkhazia, South Osetia and many others. But Lostisland is different - while all these nations were established to protect the national minority, which history can be traced to many centuries back - Lostisland is a completely new nation, and our borders are opened to everybody, people of all nationalities, independently from where do they live.

As any nation, Lostisland has its own territory - the Hunter Island, located in South Pacific. This small and remoted island was discovered in the XVIII century, but for all this time remained unowned... before March 2010, when a group of people declared the Hunter Island as a territory of the independent nationa - Republic of Lostisland.

Nowadays, Lostisland has everything, which a state needs: a government (Captains Regent), territory (Hunter Island), population (nationals all over the world) and capacity to enter into diplomatic relations (Ministry of Foreign Affairs). Of course, there are still much things to do, and we are working on it.
